SHA senior Corinne Ognibene is an incredibly talented pastry chef. A Massachusetts native, Corinne is familiar with both Italian and New England fare. Since beginning as a Writer for TasteBUds, Corinne has consistently put out incredible dessert recipes, including one for her baked pumpkin pudding.
Ever since she was little, Corinne always wanted to be a pastry chef and bakery owner. At the age of 7, she started experimenting with different recipes. Her first attempt came out looking great, but tasting like “sawdust.” Since then, Corinne's acquired some professional pastry training and her recipes now both look and taste amazing, as evident in her latest article, Nutella-Apple Tarte - An Italian Twist on a French Classic. She is our Featured Writer for the month of October for this amazing recipe; in addition to writing it, she also took all of the pictures.
A seasoned traveler, Corinne has explored the world and recently returned from studying abroad in London, England; while in London, she particularly enjoyed a gelateria called Oddono's, where she “could happily live for the rest of [her] life.” Gelato is a particular favorite of Corinne’s, as she has happy memories visiting the Cape with her family, enjoying ice cream by the beach.
Ultimately, Corinne would love to combine her passions of International Relations and Hospitality by having an international pastry business and continuing to create innovative desserts.
